Education

Today the Society runs full-fledged pre-primary and primary schools on a building on its own land which accommodates up to class IV only; we propose to expand depending on availability of land. With enhanced strength of trained teachers the tutorial classes extend up to the 10th standard in science and language streams. Education is the engine of growth. We are determined to diversify and make it more purposeful and holistic, thus enabling the children to become productive and worthy citizens. All this is virtually free.

Scholarships and Educational Loans

The Society has started dispensing Scholarships and Educational Loans to encourage talented children. In future we shall extend those activities.

Health

The Society has introduced free nourishing meals for children in the morning. Regular health check-up and medication programs are undertaken with the help of doctor friends and the Inner Wheel Club of Calcutta Mahanagar to sustain the health program.

Annual Eye Camps for check-ups, eyeglass distribution and cataract IOL implant operations are held in association with the Inner Wheel Club of Calcutta Mahanagar.

All health programs are free and open to people in and around adjoining areas. Today, what started for children has reached out to all people.

Self-Reliance - Vocational Training & Employment Opportunities

To upgrade the economic life of women, the Society organizes regular sewing classes aided by the Inner Wheel Club of Calcutta Mahanagar. They are encouraged to buy sewing machines on easy loan-repayment system evolved by the Society. Manual looms for knitting of ‘asans’ and doormats are provided for training and production.

The Society is responsive to the market needs. The products are sold and we undertake various manufacturing programs according to changing needs.

The Smiling Face of Madurdaha

The Society is widely recognized today for its welfare activities in and around Madurdaha. The life of the people has changed for the better over the past decade. They realize the importance of their role in improving their own lives and have embraced the ethos of the Society.

In the coming days we shall walk hand-in-hand to carry forward the torch of progress.
